# How to add a bookmark

The total number of bookmark cards can't exceed 10,000.

- Pages


  1. In the [SmartBox](https://browser.yandex.kz/help/en/search-and-browse/search.md), click ![](../_image/bookmark-izbrannoe-icon.png). The bookmarks panel opens.

      Alternatively, to the right of the [SmartBox](https://browser.yandex.kz/help/en/search-and-browse/search.md), click ![](../_image/add-bookmark.svg) → **Add to bookmarks**.

  1. You can edit the name of the bookmark by clicking ![](../_image/edit.png).
  1. By default, the link is saved to the same folder as the previous one. If you want to save it to a different folder, click **New folder** or select a folder from the list below.
  1. Click **Done**.

- Links

  1. Right-click the link and select **Add link to bookmarks**. The bookmarks panel opens.
  1. You can edit the name of the bookmark by clicking ![](../_image/edit.png).
  1. By default, the link is saved to the same folder as the previous one. If you want to save it to a different folder, click **New folder** or select a folder from the list below.
  1. Click **Done**.

- Images


  1. Hover the cursor over the image. Click ![](../_image/izbrannoe-icon.png). The bookmarks panel opens.
  1. You can edit the name of the bookmark by clicking ![](../_image/edit.png).
  1. By default, the link is saved to the same folder as the previous one. If you want to save it to a different folder, click **New folder** or select a folder from the list below.
  1. Click **Done**.

  To hide the ![](../_image/izbrannoe-icon.png) icon on an image, click ![](../_image/izbrannoe-edit-icon.png) to the right and select the option you need:

  - **Hide button** to hide the icon from the image.
  - **Do not show on this site** to disable the icon on the site.
  - **Configure button** to hide the icon on all images. In the settings window that appears, disable the option **Show the "Add to Favorites" button for pictures**.

  If the icon was disabled on some sites, you can re-enable it. Open ![](../_image/settings-icon.png) → **Settings** → **Tools**, go to **Bookmarks**, and click **Clear the exceptions list**.

- Video

  **In the SmartBox**

    1. Click **Done**.

  **In a separate window**

    1. Hover your cursor over the top part of the video player and click ![](../_image/video-window.png). The video opens in a separate window.
    1. In the bottom-right corner of the separate window, click ![](../_image/add-bookmark.svg).
    1. If you want to edit the bookmark, click **Saved to bookmarks**. The bookmarks panel opens.
    1. Click ![](../_image/edit.png) to edit the bookmark name.
    1. By default, the link is saved to the same folder as the previous one. If you want to save it to a different folder, click **New folder** or select a folder from the list below.
    1. Click **Done**.

  To hide the ![](../_image/izbrannoe-icon.png) icon on a video:

  1. Click **![](../_image/settings-icon.svg)** → **Settings** → **Tools**.

  1. Under **Bookmarks**, disable the option **Show the "Add to Favorites" button for videos**.
